Kenan Aksoz

As the CEO and a senior advisor, Kenan is intimately involved in client engagements, providing decades of experience to entrepreneurs and owners of closely-held companies. Kenan brings 30 years of initiating, negotiating, structuring and successfully closing over 150 mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. He has a reputation for finding solutions to some of the most complex business issues. Prior to joining the Crux Rubicon team, he was the Founder and Principal Advisor of US Bank's Business Owner Advisory Group.
His experience also encompasses corporate restructurings, joint ventures, recapitalizations, management buyouts, and acquiring and selling companies for his own account. He has also founded, managed and sold multiple businesses in a diverse range of industries, including the nationally award-winning Minnesota Business Magazine. He is a frequent speaker and commentator on the topics of entrepreneurship, succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, and related topics.
Kenan earned a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in finance from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management and a mini MBA for leaders of growing companies from the University of St. Thomas. Lesser known facts about him are that he competed in the Big 10 Conference as a starter for the University of Minnesota soccer team from 1981 through 1983. He has achieved a second degree black belt in eight different forms of martial arts. He was a nationally published cartoonist at the age of 15. However, he is proudest of his wife of 25 years and five children who all live in the Twin Cities
